PEPR SCIAM
PEPR SCIAM is a french scientific programme on civil nuclear energy. It aims to expand fundamental scientific knowledge of the processes involved in nuclear electricity production.
 PEPR EBIOCARB
PEPR EBIOCARB
The PEPR will design competitive and sustainable value chains for the production of e-biofuels for the aviation and maritime sectors.
 PEPR FutuRE
PEPR FutuRE
The PEPR proposes creating a single multi-site, multi-vector platform by interconnecting and enhancing existing energy platforms at academic partner institutions to make them interoperable.

Strengthen research and innovation in the field of energy

One of the France’s priorities regarding research and innovation is to strengthen strategic thinking by improving coordination between the various stakeholders, in order to optimise the overall organisation of the research and innovation ecosystem and to produce relevant forward-looking studies.

The creation of programme agencies focused on specific themes is one facet of this strategy, alongside strong fundamental research. The energy transition is one of the major challenges facing society, with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

To address the issues associated with this transition and to find effective solutions, the creation of the programme agency ‘Decarbonised Energy’ (APED), hosted within the CEA, aims to strengthen research and innovation in this field by integrating all of its societal dimensions.

As the operator, the ANR organises the selection of PEPRs and projects, establishes the terms and conditions for funding and project monitoring, disburses the grant and evaluates the projects.
